Mac Support Specialist

Job Description We are assisting a laboratory in hiring contractors for the role of Mac Support Specialist.
This position requires on-site presence five days a week in Lemont.

Department of Energy science and engineering research center renowned for its groundbreaking contributions across various scientific domains, including nuclear energy, materials science, supercomputing, and environmental research.
They are particularly recognized for hosting some of the world's most powerful supercomputers in its Facility, which includes the largest high-performance computing cluster in the United States.
The individual in this role will serve as an Independent Contractor (IC) responsible for on-site support, specializing in Mac support, desktop support, laptop maintenance, and day-to-day campus tasks.
This includes tasks such as relocating monitors, ensuring their up-to-date status, managing Mac systems within enterprise environments, and maintaining workstations in office settings.
Required Skills &
Experience:
3 to 7 years of relevant experience Proficiency in Mac OS Familiarity with JAMF Proficient Python coding skills (beyond basic coursework) Knowledge of iOS devices Familiarity with Linux Daily
