Overview:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for managing and supervising the Infirmary of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago.
The Director is responsible for the supervision and direction of the nursing staff; as well as personal and nursing care for all FSC Sisters as needed.
This position also ensures staff responds promptly and accurately to physician's orders for prescription refills, therapy or other medical services under guidance of the OLV Administrator, General Minister and/or Local Minister.
Supports, upholds and maintains the Mission and Philosophy of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago.
Projects this image in a positive manner with all interactions inside and outside the facility.
Exhibits loyalty and pride in the facility, its associates and departments.
Provides for the daily needs of FSC Sisters.
Attends the FSC Sisters; physician appointments, surgeries or emergency visits as seen necessary.
Must be available for on call emergencies.
Regularly prepares and participates in care planning sessions with FSC Sisters (when appropriate), general minister or her designee.
Hires, provides for associate training, supervises, evaluates, disciplines and terminates all infirmary personnel.
Reviews and maintains updated time and attendance records in time management system; making necessary changes daily, weekly and prior to payroll submission.
Assists in the preparation and administration of the annual budget based on staffing, equipment and supplies, and operational expense to assure quality and cost effective care.
Meet and communicate with Financial Manager the anticipated operating and capital budget figures on an annual basis.
Recommended Skills Administration Finance Medical Emergency Nursing Time Management Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
